At Golden Path Companion And Healthcare Services, we are committed to transparency, professionalism, and accountability. Our policies are designed to protect our clients, their families, and our caregivers, while ensuring the highest standard of care.

1. Privacy & Confidentiality Policy We strictly protect all personal health information in accordance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Client information will only be shared with authorized staff involved in their care. No personal or medical details will be disclosed without client consent.

2. Service & Care Policy

Care plans are personalized to meet each client’s unique needs. Clients and families are encouraged to participate in care planning and decision-making. We do not administer medications; we provide reminders and assistance as permitted by regulation.

3. Staff Conduct Policy

All caregivers and PSWs are trained, certified, and background-checked. Staff must maintain professionalism, respect, and cultural sensitivity at all times. Any misconduct or violation of professional standards will not be tolerated.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation Policy Clients may adjust or cancel services with 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee. Golden Path ensures backup caregivers when possible to avoid service interruptions.

5. Safety & Infection Control Policy Caregivers follow strict hygiene and infection prevention protocols. PPE (personal protective equipment) is used when required. Safety risks in the home are reported immediately to clients and families.

6. Payment & Billing Policy

Services are billed on an hourly basis (rates vary by care type and region). Invoices are issued bi-weekly/monthly, payable upon receipt. Late payments may result in service suspension until accounts are settled.

7. Complaint & Feedback Policy Clients and families are encouraged to share concerns or compliments.
